Well helloo CTW. Obinna here with the weekly Blog from YARD Theatre Company about to give you the low-down on the sessions this week. On tuesday we spent the first hour doing a workshop focusing on bringing that energy and spark when you’re on stage or in a performance. Went down well as there was a lot of focus in the group. The next hour was followed by a vocal warm up and then working in pairs on an extract from Shakespear’s Romeo and Juliet. On Wednesday we did some warm up games that focused on working as a group & bonding with each other and also vocals. After, we finished up our Shakespeare work by adding our own take on the scene and preforming it to the rest of the group.
Then came the moment of truth. It was decision time on who will be going to visit our twin theatre company. Each canidate voiced there reason for why they should be chosen to the rest of the group then after that everyone placed they’re vote to be counted. It was very tense as everyone was unsure whether or not the winner would be revealed. But as the suspense became unbearable all was revealed…
